Discover Guilin
Guilin, situated at the northeastern part of Guangxi, covers an area of 27,800 square kilometers, composed of 17 counties (cities, districts) with a total population of 5.4 million people.
Guilin governs six districts, ten counties, and one county-level city — Haishu district, Xiufeng district, Diecai district, Xiangshan district, Qixing district, Yanshan district, Lingui district, Yangshuo county, Lingchuan county, Quanzhou county, Xing'an county, Yongfu county, Guanyang county, Longsheng county, Ziyuan county, Pingle county, Gongcheng county, and Lipu city.
The pop-up shan'ge activity, referring to mountain song, a folk song genre, took place at popular attractions in Guilin, Guangxi, including East West Street, Xiaoyao Tower, Xiaoyao Building, and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes on March 9. The event features traditional Guangxi mountain songs, a lively prelude to the upcoming Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival.

On Oct 28, Guilin was honored as the first city in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region to join the prestigious "Cities with Nature" platform, announced during the Convention on Biological Diversity COP16's eighth local governments and cities summit.
