Guilin, situated at the northeastern part of Guangxi, covers an area of 27,800 square kilometers, composed of 17 counties (cities, districts) with a total population of 5.4 million people.
Guilin governs six districts, ten counties, and one county-level city — Haishu district, Xiufeng district, Diecai district, Xiangshan district, Qixing district, Yanshan district, Lingui district, Yangshuo county, Lingchuan county, Quanzhou county, Xing'an county, Yongfu county, Guanyang county, Longsheng county, Ziyuan county, Pingle county, Gongcheng county, and Lipu city.
As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, Guilin's iconic handcrafted dragon boats are drawing attention for their intricate designs and deep cultural roots.
