Diecai district

Diecai district situates at the north of Guilin city, and its name came from the Diecai Mountain in its area. Diecai district People’s government locates at No.147, Zhongshan North Road. The district covers an area of 52 square kilometers and includes Dahe village, Diai street office and Beimen street office, administrating 15 villages, 22 communities with permanent population of 203,700.

Diecai district has 808.81 hectares of cultivated land area, mainly planting vegetables, fruits and raising pigs, chickens and ducks, which is Guilin’s important production base of vegetables and non-staple food. In 2021, Diecai district achieved 9.338 billion yuan of regional GDP, an increase of 4.3 percent, among which the added value of the primary industry was 157 million yuan, grew by 3.1 percent; the added value of the secondary industry was 875 million yuan, decreased by 12.6 percent; the added value of the tertiary industry was 8.305 billion yuan, increased by 6.4 percent. The per capita regional GDP was 45,908 yuan. The investment in fixed assets reached 3.491 billion yuan, a decrease of 43.1 percent. The retail sales of consumer goods totaled 7.589 billion yuan, an increase of 4.0 percent. The annual total industrial output value was 1.97 billion yuan, increased by 8.7 percent; the industrial added value was 293 million yuan. The industrial added value accounted for 3.1% of the regional GDP. The total output value of the industries above designated size reached 1.605 billion yuan, an increase of 7.8 percent. The annual output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery totaled 278 million yuan, among which agricultural output value was 214 million yuan, the forestry output value was 0 billion yuan, the output value of animal husbandry was 42 million yuan, the fishery output value was 0.01 billion yuan and the output value of the service industry was RMB 21 million yuan. The grain sown area was 3,300 hectares with total output of 17000 tons.
