The Yangshuo golden kumquat harvest celebration commenced on Dec 12. The event uses kumquats as a medium to establish a platform for industry exchange and cultural dissemination.
It strengthens the integrated development of agriculture, cultural tourism, and international exchange, showcasing the achievements of local specialty industries.

The celebration features a market where visitors can experience kumquat products from various perspectives. Data shows that from January to October 2025, the online retail sales of Yangshuo's agricultural products reached 39.497 million yuan ($55.3 million), with 5,623 related stores.
Currently, the brand value of Yangshuo kumquats has reached 4.73 billion yuan. The county's cultivation area spans 238,000 mu (15,867 hectares), with an annual output of 519,000 metric tons, of which oily-skinned kumquats account for 65 to 72 percent of the national market share.
Yangshuo kumquats have been cultivated for over 180 years, with an annual output value exceeding 4.6 billion yuan. Currently, 63 specialized cooperatives are growing the fruit, with products sold to regions including Southeast Asia, Russia, and Canada.

Previously, the local government strengthened brand protection and innovation by establishing trademark brand guidance stations and carrying out intellectual property publicity week activities.
Moving forward, Yangshuo will continue to develop the kumquat industry, strengthen brand development, expand its cultural and economic value, promote the integration of diverse formats under the "kumquat plus" model, and provide sustained momentum for rural vitalization.
