Reed Flute Cave Scenic Area is located on the Taohua River in the northwest of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and is only five kilometers away from the center of the city. It is a core part of the Lijiang River Scenic Spot and was included in the first batch of national 4A-level scenic spots in 2000.
Reed Flute Cave Scenic Area consists of a beautiful landscape of mountains and rivers, such as Reed Flute Cave, Guangming Mountain, Taohua River, and Fanglian Pond. It boasts very high ornamental, sightseeing, scientific research, historical, and cultural value.
Located on the south side of Guangming Mountain with a depth of 240 meters and a length of 500 meters, Reed Flute Cave is like a magnificent underground palace carved with gems, corals, and emeralds. It is full of stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars, which make up more than 30 beautiful spots in the cave.
The scenic area has established a tourist consultation service center, a tourist lounge, a parking lot of more than 10,000 square meters, and free public toilets. It also opened a high-end business route for visitors who don't want to walk the long way. The sightseeing elevator will directly send visitors to the reception room, where they overlook the scenery of Guangming Mountain and Fanglian Pond.
In 2013, the scenic area invited a light team to operate the first 4D visual show in the country, using the dome inside the cave to create a fantasy scene for visitors.
