Guilin's chrysanthemum exhibition tradition dates to November 1964. After periods of interruptions and revivals, it was relaunched in 2019. This year's edition is the largest and most diverse since its return, with a site area double that of previous years.
The exhibition shows 218 chrysanthemum varieties, including traditional types including cliff chrysanthemums, single-stem chrysanthemums, and bonsai chrysanthemums, as well as newly introduced large-flowered varieties.
A special highlight is the animal fable-themed gardens, featuring a variety of creative animal-themed scenes. Meanwhile, visitors have the chance to participate in fun activities like searching for hidden rabbits and guessing flowers by scent, which allow visitors to collect stamps and redeem gifts.
A newly added chrysanthemum flower arrangement exhibition also stands out. All pieces are crafted by staff from the Guilin flowers and plants research institute. On-site arranging workshops have attracted many residents, who create their own chrysanthemum arrangements under expert guidance.

Through diverse displays and engaging activities, the exhibition brings chrysanthemum culture to visitors of all ages.
