The eighth Guilin Food Festival and the first Rice Noodle Coffee Festival will take place in Guilin from Nov 14 to 16, along Binjiang Road in the Xiufeng district, merging the city's natural beauty with its food culture to fuel cultural and tourism integration.

The core highlight is the innovative fusion of "rice noodle + coffee". Local, iconic rice noodles, rooted in traditional techniques, are combined with modern coffee beverages, creating unique offerings such as rice noodle-flavored lattes and coffee-infused rice noodle soup. These distinctive flavors attract visitors and boost consumption.
Over 70 brands are organized into four themed zones: traditional rice noodle brands, high-quality coffee vendors offering city-exclusive blends, sellers of creative, cultural, and handmade products, and well-known local food enterprises displaying classic flavors and premium ingredients.

Interactive activities increase engagement, such as lucky draws offering over 3,000 prizes that include Bluetooth speakers, custom items, free coffee vouchers, WeChat mini-program voting, riverside live music, and AI photo experiences. These activities extend visitors' average stay to more than three hours, boosting spending potential.
Following a "government-guided, enterprise-run" model, the festival extends to nearby commercial areas. It is projected to attract 250,000 visitors, generate total spending of 18 million yuan ($2.52 million), boost foot traffic in surrounding businesses by over 65 percent, and increase hotel room bookings by 25 percent, injecting vitality into Guilin’s cultural and tourism sector.
