Longsheng multi-ethnic autonomous county's 40,000 mu (2,667 Hectares) alpine passion fruits are now in full harvest, shipped nationwide and providing crucial income for local farmers.

At Lejiang town's agricultural cooperative in Longsheng county, Guilin city, smart sorting machines grade fruits into sizes, with 315 daily shipments to Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangxi and beyond. The "Qinguo" No 9 variety, grown in high-altitude environments, is favored for its rich flavor and plump flesh.

To maximize returns, the county has strengthened brand building. It has applied for "National Famous and Quality" certification, integrated the fruit into the "Longji" regional brand - a public brand highlighting local agricultural quality - with tailored packaging, and launched a 20,000-yuan ($2,780) award for social media promotions.

It also held an online opening ceremony and has roadshows planned for Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Policy support includes subsidies for logistics, warehouse construction and offline stores, reducing costs for farmers. Grower Li, who harvests 350 plants at 5-6 yuan ($0.7 to 0.85) per jin (500 grams), said earnings exceed expectations.

Backed by e-commerce platforms and community promotions, these mountain-grown fruits are driving rural vitalization, carrying Longsheng's unique charm to consumers across China.
