The five-day 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area youth football tournament concluded in Guilin, Guangxi, on July 13. Local and guest teams secured titles in the U9, U10, and U12 categories.
The event, organized by the city's sports bureau and Qixing district government, gathered 28 teams and over 500 young players from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Guangxi. The U10 final was decided by a penalty shootout, with a visiting team narrowly defeating a local school team before the closing ceremony.

Besides the matches, participants took part in guided tours to scenic and cultural attractions in Guilin. A group from Hong Kong visited landmarks such as Elephant Trunk Hill and a cultural commune, with parents sharing their experiences online — sparking curiosity about the city among those at home.
The event combined sports, tourism, and culture, promoting youth exchanges and featuring Guilin's stunning scenery and cultural heritage.
