Guilin has recently gained global recognition due to frequent cultural and tourism partnerships with international brands, making it a trending topic on social media. This momentum enhances its tourism brand image and supports the goal of developing a world-class tourist destination.
The Guilin bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism promotes the city through domestic platforms such as Rednote and Douyin, as well as international channels including Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Recently, top model Du Juan filmed nine videos with Wallpaper China in Guilin, depicting a Lady of the Lijiang River in scenes like misty landscapes, Yao villages, and the Zhuangyuan Bridge, accompanied by Folk Songs Like Spring River to enhance the atmosphere. She expressed her interest in returning for more shoots.

French luxury brand Louis Vuitton featured Guilin's Lijiang River and its karst peaks in store windows across the country, integrating luxury products with natural scenery under the theme "The Essence of Travel, Guilin, China". Previous collaborations include LV's 2008 China advertisement, Ferrari's test drive event, Bentley's crossover campaigns, and photoshoots by VOGUE and celebrities such as Liu Shishi.
These partnerships elevate Guilin from a scenic destination to a hub of artistic inspiration. The city aims to develop further cross-industry partnerships, convert its popularity into sustained appeal, and expand into a world-renowned tourism hotspot, furthering its goal of achieving world-class tourism.
