Zhen Di, a revolutionary series with a strong cast, is scheduled to debut on CCTV soon. It depicts Guilin's role as a "Cultural City of Resistance" from 1938 to 1944, where patriotic intellectuals presented art and propaganda to counter Japanese aggression.

Directed by Gao Xixi, the series was filmed at Guilin's landmarks, including the Seven Star Park and the Jingjiang Princes' Palace, in 2024.
The city then served as a key transport hub and hosted the Eighth Route Army's Guilin Office. It became a cultural stronghold for figures like Guo Moruo, Ba Jin, and Xu Beihong. Together, they built a "Cultural Great Wall" through literature, drama, and art.
Historical landmarks, like the Martyrs Monument in the Seven Star Park, play a significant role by blending actual sites with imaginative storytelling. A tribute to unsung cultural heroes, Zhen Di highlights how Guilin's karst landscape witnessed a silent war of ideas, where the Lijiang River carried stories of resilience.
