Situated along Taohuajiang Road in Guilin's Xiufeng district lies a stunning summer retreat, Taohuahujing Park.
With its emerald waters and lush greenery, the lake becomes a canvas of blooming lilies in summer, reminiscent of Monet's iconic Water Lilies. This enchanting sight draws visitors eager to embrace the season's unique romance.
Patches of purple water lilies shimmer like scattered stars across the lake. Standing by the shore, visitors can admire the elegant flowers against a backdrop of verdant mountains, occasionally punctuated by the swift passage of a high-speed train.
Strolling along the lakeside path allows for up-close appreciation of the lilies' delicate beauty. Pausing to gaze from a pavilion or wandering along the wooden boardwalks also offers different perspectives.
Jiang, a resident, noted that this season is peak blooming time for the water lilies. Typically, the flowers fully open from morning until noon, then gradually close by mid-afternoon.
