A major solo exhibition by Guilin-born, internationally exhibited artist Qing Taimao, titled The Echoing Expanse of Nothingness, premiered at the Guilin Art Gallery on June 7, presenting 14 monumental artworks featuring leopard imagery.

The exhibition fosters a profound interdisciplinary dialogue between painting and literature, blending contemporary art with landscape cultural motifs to invigorate local creative innovation through the global language of art. It will run through June 25.

Qing employs the leopard motif to create visually dramatic narratives in his works. The Echoing Expanse of Nothingness series breaks away from traditional art paradigms, constructing mysterious and dreamlike artistic atmospheres on canvas to achieve innovative modern expressions of traditional artistic elements.

During the exhibition, academic lectures and public guided tours will be available, offering audiences a complete cultural journey incorporating visual experience, intellectual reflection art display, and academic exchange. Art enthusiasts can follow Guilin Art Gallery's official WeChat (ID: gh_404c64493220) for guided tours and exclusive interviews with the artist.

As a practical exploration of how to integrate contemporary art with regional culture, the exhibition interprets the urban culture from an international artistic perspective. It aligns with Guilin's pursuit of artistic innovation and preservation of tradition in a new era of cultural development.
