From May 10 to 11, the 13th Yangshuo Zhuge Liang Cultural Tourism Festival unfolded under the theme "Cultural Zhuge, Enlightened Yangshuo". The event aimed to celebrate traditional Chinese culture, strengthen cultural identity, and support the development of the Yangshuo Pilot Zone and Guilin World Tourism City, attracting experts, scholars, foreign guests, and local residents.

The festival opened with a high-level forum, "Zhuge Wisdom by the Yulong River," where renowned scholars from institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Sun Yat-sen University offered insights into the cultural significance of Zhuge Liang. They discussed ways to integrate his legacy into tourism development, cultural innovation, and rural revitalization. Experts highlighted the unique value of Zhuge culture in linking Yangshuo with places like Nanyang, home to Zhuge Liang's early life.
A rich array of events followed, which included a folk parade, multilingual cultural performances, and traditional rites honoring Zhuge Liang. New media campaigns amplified the festival's reach, while thousands of students participated in recitations of Zhuge's teachings. International guests enjoyed immersive experiences with Zhuge's inventions, reinforcing the festival's global outlook.
Six scholars were appointed as official advisors to Yangshuo's cultural tourism development. Symbolically, trees were planted in "Kongming Forest" to honor Zhuge Liang's spirit of wisdom and dedication.
