A delegation of Guilin travel agencies led by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region showcased at the 2025 Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) Berlin, which was held from March 4 to 6 in Berlin, Germany.
Through innovative promotion, targeted marketing, and in-depth discussions, Guangxi presented its stunning natural landscapes, rich ethnic culture, and burgeoning cultural tourism to the international tourism industry, becoming a focal point in the exhibition.
Before the event, major media outlets like TV Berlin and Hauptstadt TV aired the promotional video of Guangxi in their Kultureller Dialog program. The video displayed the karst landscapes, Zhuang customs, intangible cultural heritage, and unique cuisine of Guangxi, sparking significant interest among German audiences.
During the exhibition, the Guangxi booth, adorned with iconic elements like Guilin's landscapes, Detian Waterfall, and Longji Terraces, along with cultural symbols such as Zhuang brocade and embroidered balls, attracted numerous international travel businesses. Within three days, the Guangxi delegation welcomed more than 300 travel businesses from countries including Germany, France, and Poland and distributed over 200 multilingual promotional materials.
Founded in 1966, ITB Berlin is one of the world's largest and most influential travel trade shows, it attracts numerous top-tier global tourism enterprises. Guangxi's participation this year further expanded the international recognition and influence of its cultural tourism, effectively opening up the European tourist market and promoting the prosperity of Guangxi's inbound tourism industry.
