The 2024 China Cycling Tour and the 10th "Tour of the Lijiang River" Cycling Race launched in Guilin on Nov 17, attracting over 1,500 cycling enthusiasts from 17 countries and regions, who embarked on a picturesque journey through Guilin's iconic karst mountains and autumn-hued landscapes.
The race began at 8 am at the Jiatianxia Exhibition Center in Qixing district and saw cyclists pass by key scenic spots including the Lijiang greenway, Wujiu Beach, Yangshuo, and Xingping Ancient Town.
Fan Junyan, a first-time participant from Shenzhen, shared his excitement about tackling the 200-kilometer challenge and capturing the mesmerizing scenery to share with his online followers.
Organized by the Chinese Cycling Association and Guangxi authorities, this star-rated event is one of Guangxi's largest self-branded cycling competitions. To mark its 10th anniversary, the race offers routes ranging from an 8-km retro ride to a 200-km endurance challenge.
Guilin's Lijiang cycling route was recently named one of China's 100 premium cycling routes of 2024, highlighting its breathtaking natural beauty and cultural significance.
