In the first six months, the value of exported products such as automobiles, auto parts, new energy, and new materials through the port via the trade corridor exceeded 2.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 54.7 percent. The range of foreign goods transported there has now climbed to in excess of 2,600 items.
Meanwhile, Qinzhou Port Customs has launched 14 projects to provide high-level services and promote the ports' further high-quality development. Under the development of the trade corridor, the total import and export value of Qinzhou Port itself in the first half of 2023 reached 90.58 billion yuan, up 13.5 percent from the same period last year.
Qinzhou Port Customs is now conducting research on industries such as new energy materials, green chemicals, and high-end papermaking near the port. It is weighing the demands of enterprises, and supporting the high-quality development of industries such as timber, recycled aluminum, and fruits.
This year, the Huayi Qinzhou Integrated Base for Chemical New Materials imported 441,000 metric tons of raw materials such as ethylene, propane, and propylene, which were quickly released and cleared through customs.
The products from Guangxi Huayi New Materials, including 193,000 tons of high-end chemical products, such as acetic acid and butyl acrylate, were exported to Europe, America, and Southeast Asia via the trade corridor.
