On June 26, about 20 metric tons of imported Malaysian Musang King durians arrived at Qinzhou Port via the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Linhai Supply Chain.

After customs clearance inspections in Qinzhou, the durians were transferred to the China-Malaysia International Cold Chain Center for temporary storage and will later be sold throughout the country.

Musang King is the most sought-after and expensive durian variety due to its appealing texture and flavor.

Thanks to the effective implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the convenient shipping conditions of Qinzhou Port, Musang King durians can be imported and shipped to Qinzhou Port in as little as seven days.

"Qinzhou port provides convenient conditions for us to expand the import of ASEAN specialty products," said Tan Shide, deputy general manager of the Guangxi FTZ Linhai Supply Chain. Since 2019, the company has imported 170 tons of Malaysian durian and 300 kilograms of Malaysian bird's nest, with a total value of more than 22 million yuan ($3 million).
