The industrialization demonstration base for Guangxi Transportation Science and Technology Group's rubber asphalt scientific research achievements was completed and put into operation in Qinzhou on June 16, which will promote Guangxi's industry development.

This is the largest rubber asphalt production base in Southwest China. The base is located in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park and is invested in by Guangxi Transportation Science and Technology Group. It has two high-performance rubber modified asphalt production lines, with an annual rubber asphalt output of 300,000 metric tons, and an annual simultaneous production of 200,000 tons of other asphalt. Additionally, this base will recycle an annual total of approximately 20,000 used automobile tires.

The new generation of green high-performance rubber asphalt products produced by the base will be independently developed by Guangxi Transportation Science and Technology Group. The base has been selected in one of the "Guangxi's Breakthrough 100 Major Technology Projects".

The same technology in this base has been used in a number of expressway projects in Guangxi, measuring up to more than 2,000 kilometers. The asphalt produced by this technology has utilized and recycled more than 50,000 tons of used tires, effectively alleviating the pollution in Guangxi.
