Guangxi FTZ implements 120 pilot reform tasks

The China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has implemented 120 pilot reform tasks in more than 82,000 enterprises.

The RCEP has injected strong momentum for cross-border e-commerce. From January to September, Guangxi completed more than 100 million cross-border e-commerce import and export transactions, with a transaction value of about 11.07 billion yuan ($1.59 billion), an increase of 65.7 percent year-on-year.

In the first nine months of this year, the volume of cross-border e-commerce import and export business in the Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone was 895.12 million, up 38.79 percent year on year, and the transaction volume reached 9.13 billion yuan, up 74.6 percent year on year.

By the end of November, the enterprises stationed in the Guangxi FTZ exceeded 82,000, about 22 times the number in the area before the zone's establishment, and the actual utilization of foreign investment, foreign trade imports and exports accounted for 38.3 percent and 34.8 percent of the total amounts of Guangxi. Settled companies include a number of leading enterprises.

In the first 10 months of this year, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor transported 621,000 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of goods, an increase of 19.7 percent year-on-year, helping smooth the industrial chain along the channel supply chain.

As of September this year, Qinzhou port had opened 66 domestic and foreign trade container routes to more than 100 countries and regions around the world, and more than 200 ports. From January to October this year, the container throughput was 4.25 million TEUs, an increase of 15.7 percent.
