
Qinzhou terminal at Beibu Gulf Port reaches 63,800 TEUs in November
In November, the monthly handling volume of the first berth of the Qinzhou terminal at Beibu Gulf Port reached 63,800 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), exceeding 60,000 TEUs for the first time, an increase of 191.3 percent over October.
With commercial live-ship operations and automated terminal equipment commissioning going on at the same time, the terminal has reached 76.6 percent of its designed production capacity, its intelligence level has been upgraded, and its loading and unloading operation capacity has been increased.

In November, the terminal also completed berthing operations for one 100,000-metric-ton and three 150,000-ton large vessels, normalized berthing operations for 150,000-ton container vessels and broke a number of operational records.
Among them, the China Ocean Shipping (COSCO) Himalaya vessel berthing on Nov 2 was the largest berthing of a container vessel in the history of Beibu Gulf Port, and was also the first time in the history of Beibu Gulf Port that the operation volume of a single container vessel exceeded 10,000 TEUs.
