The Nanning municipal foreign affairs office, the Nanning bureau of commerce, and Lazada launched the China-ASEAN cross-border e-commerce foreign language anchor in Nanning on June 24.

The competition has set up six tracks covering different countries and their languages in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, as well as Indonesia. In addition, the competition is gathering the national supply chain resources of the Lazada e-commerce platform and supporting local enterprises to enter overseas e-commerce platforms.

Nanning has a rich reserve of language talents. The competition not only allows these talents to use their language skills to promote local goods in other countries, but also provides them an opportunity to improve their language skills through livestreaming on e-commerce platforms.

This competition integrates foreign affairs, commerce, customs, enterprises, colleges, and media resources to bolster local economic development, as well as industrial chain construction.

In the future, Nanning will make use of major opportunities like the effective implementation of RCEP and the launch of the 3.0 version of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to cultivate language talents, which will help promote high-level opening up, as well as high-quality economic and social development.
