Cargo throughput of Qinzhou Port completed 97 million tons as of July

In the first seven months of this year, the cargo throughput of Qinzhou Port completed 97 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.1 percent.

From January to July, Qinzhou Port completed 2.89 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of containers, a year-on-year increase of 21 percent. The container handling volume of Qinzhou Railway Container Center Station completed 215,000 TEUs, ranking sixth among the 13 container center stations in the country, with a year-on-year increase of 20.9 percent.

From January to July, the overall customs clearance time at Qinzhou Port was 12.44 hours, a 95.35 percent reduction compared to 2017; the overall export customs clearance time was 1.87 hours, a 95.71 percent reduction compared to 2017.

From January to July, the total import and export value of Qinzhou port reached 95.74 billion yuan (13.84 billion), a year-on-year increase of 32.4 percent, especially the total import and export value of 14 provinces and cities along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor through Qinzhou port reached 59.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 96.8 percent.

This year, Qinzhou Port is promoting 13 major industrial projects of 10 billion yuan, with a total investment of 240 billion yuan. The number of projects of 10 billion yuan and the amount of investment have reached a record high, showing a development trend of clusters of enterprises and chains of industries, the relevant person in charge of the Qinzhou Port area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Industry and High-tech Industry Bureau said.
