Construction on the CNGR Southern Industrial Base project has been progressing, with six ternary precursor production lines, as well as an industry-leading nickel sulfate production line have been completed.

The project boasts a total investment of 33 billion yuan ($4.94 billion). Its development and construction are being carried out in three phases. In the first phase, 180,000 metric tons of precursors and 100,000 tons of metal materials were used in its construction.

At present, four ternary precursor production lines have been put into production, with the fifth and sixth production lines being about to be put into production. In addition, the seventh and eighth production lines have entered the equipment installation process.

The first phase of the project includes the construction of more than 50 single buildings, of which 32 have been completed, while the remaining buildings have entered the closing construction stage.

CNGR, an advanced material company, has invested more than 4 billion yuan in fixed assets, as well as built six 15,000-ton ternary precursor production lines, 10,000 tons of cobalt sulfate production lines, and 50,000 tons of nickel sulfate production lines. Two ternary precursor production lines and a 40,000-ton nickel sulfate production line will be completed by the end of June, marking the completion of the first and second phases of the project. In addition, the project is expected to have an output value exceeding 2.5 billion yuan in the first half of the year.
