Qinzhou Port sees 17.5b yuan in foreign trade imports, exports in 1st 5 months

The Qinzhou Port Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) saw 17.5 billion yuan ($2.62 billion) in foreign trade imports and exports from January to May, an increase of 141.1 percent.

After processing 300,000 metric tons of crude oil at Qinzhou Port, Qinzhou Customs formulated a personalized and convenient customs clearance plan to coordinate and optimize the clearance process. From January to April, Qinzhou Port imported 1.9 million tons of crude oil.

From January to April, grain imports and thermal coal imports in the Qinzhou Port area of the Guangxi FTZ increased by 32 percent and 223 percent respectively. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has achieved remarkable results.

Qinzhou Port Customs has compiled a list of commodities in the advantageous industries of Qinzhou Port, and directed the plywood, finished paper, ceramic tile, glass, aluminum products, calcium carbonate, new chemical materials as well as other advantageous import and export industrial commodities of Qinzhou Port to make good use the RCEP policy to expand imports and exports.
