A total of 1,584 vehicles passed through the border highway ports in Guangxi on June 7, of which 1,060 were heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs). This was the first time this year that the number of HDVs entering and exiting Guangxi border ports in a single day has exceeded 1,000, setting a recent high.

Recently, the China (Guangxi) Free Trade Zone (FTZ) issued a plan for the improvement of border ports, in which it proposed that border highway ports should achieve more than 1,500 vehicles entering and exiting per day, including more than 800 HDVs, returning to the work target clearance level set before the Spring Festival.

Guangxi FTZ has strengthened dispatching through various channels, such as the port video dispatching system, telephone, and WeChat.

After all the border ports in Guangxi resumed their normal operation on May 5, the focus of port work has shifted from reopening the ports to increasing their customs clearance volume.

On May 26, there were 1,553 vehicles entering and exiting through Guangxi border highway ports, of which 861 were HDVs.

In the future, the Guangxi Free Trade Zone will continue to enforce strict epidemic prevention and control measures, while focusing on improving its port customs clearance to ensure the safe and stable operation of ports, as well as to better promote the growth of foreign trade and foreign investment in Guangxi.
