In order to optimize customs clearance operations, Guangxi has cooperated with Vietnam to set up green channels and green areas in port areas to improve customs clearance efficiency, as well as to shorten customs clearance time.

At the end of March, Guangxi and Vietnam reached an agreement to build a green area in the Vietnamese territory near Youyiguan Port for drop and pull transportation. Vietnam was responsible for the construction and management of the buffer zone fence. It also shares the buffer camera monitoring signals with Guangxi.

Guangxi has three cities and eight counties bordering Vietnam. Youyiguan Port, Dongxing Port, and Shuikou Port are convenient passages connecting China with Vietnam and ASEAN countries.

Since the beginning of this year, Guangxi has coordinated COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as customs clearance at ports. At present, seven highway ports and one railway port in Guangxi with customs clearance capabilities are all open for operation.

To date, the traffic volume in the direction of Youyiguan Port is close to 300 vehicles per day, while the daily customs clearance volume of the Puzhai cargo channel is more than 200 vehicles per day, with 340 vehicles entering the country on May 6, which was the highest amount recently.

In the future, Guangxi will continue to coordinate COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work, with customs clearance at border ports. It will also carry out border port customs clearance work with Vietnam, improve the customs clearance capabilities of various ports, and improve customs clearance efficiency.
