The rail-sea combined transport train from Guangyuan, Sichuan province to Qinzhou Port in Guangxi departed for the first time recently.

The train will transport local aluminum products, food and beverages, as well as chemicals from the surrounding areas to the ASEAN region through the rail-sea combined transportation network of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is a major international transport passage launched by western Chinese provincial regions and Singapore in 2017 that also connects countries along the Belt and Road. In recent years, Qinzhou has actively integrated into the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, built a new hub port for the land-sea corridor in the west, as well as improved the railway-sea combined transportation infrastructure.

With the increasing number of rail-sea intermodal trains arriving and departing the new western land-sea channel every day, Qinzhou Port has become an important node in international trade and logistics, connecting countries and regions along the Belt and Road, supporting the western region's participation in international economic cooperation, as well as promoting the deep integration of transportation, logistics, and economy.
