Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, will be built into a regional international postal service hub with a primary focus on ASEAN countries, and industrial logistics giants are encouraged to set up regional headquarters and follow suit, Guangxi officials announced on April 11.

The construction of major projects and platforms, such as the Nanning international railway port and China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park, has accelerated in recent years in order to bolster Nanning's role as a national logistics hub.

In the first quarter of 2022, Nanning Wuxu International Airport achieved a total international cargo throughput of 13,900 metric tons, which is the same as the total amount handled in 2020.

Three new cargo routes were opened in the first three months of this year to New Delhi, India, Sabah, Malaysia and Hanoi, Vietnam, allowing cargos from Nanning airport to reach eight ASEAN and South Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Nepal and India.
