The Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), home to Youyiguan Port, which has the largest customs clearance volume of any border port in Guangxi, has been developing new trade supervision methods in its quest to achieve high-quality development.

The Chongzuo area has developed new trade supervision methods, optimized its customs clearance process, improved customs clearance efficiency, reduced customs clearance costs, coordinated epidemic prevention, and control and economic and social development.

It has also been offering one-stop customs clearance services. It is the first to implement a common checkpoint that is shared by customs, border inspection, and other inspection departments at border highway ports across the country to meet the diverse needs of ports and enterprises.

The area has also implemented intelligent customs clearance services, using license plate scanning code recognition, fingerprint recognition, face recognition and other technologies to shorten the time burden previously inflicted on drivers when they were forced to exit their vehicles, swipe cards and receive stamps when they entered the checkpoint.

In addition, the area has implemented online vehicle dispatch services for customs clearance, and has launched an intelligent dispatch system for vehicles to be released at Youyiguan Port, allowing for the unified release, registration and supervision of vehicles.

A swap trailer transport model for import and export cabinets has been implemented as well as a pandemic control measure.

At present, the freight channel at Youyiguan Port is continuing to use normal customs clearance procedures on weekends and holidays, making it the only border port in Guangxi to offer regular customs clearance services throughout the year.
