April 10 marked the 100th day that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) was implemented, with Guangxi achieving new fruitful results in its cooperation with the RCEP countries.

Under the RCEP framework, China and the 10 ASEAN countries, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand have established free trade relations with Japan for the first time based on the original free trade arrangements, bringing new open areas and new markets opportunities.

Guangxi established the RCEP Business Advisory Council, held an investment promotion conference for key RCEP industries, as well as set up branch venues in 16 countries like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and other RCEP member countries, focusing on promoting high-end equipment manufacturing, new-generation information technology, biomedicine, and other business opportunities.

On Feb 24, Guangxi and Cambodia signed a trade cooperation agreement, which led to Cambodian cassava chips being directly supplied to the Chinese market for the first time. In addition, Guangxi's new energy vehicles have entered the Japanese market for the first time.

Nanning customs has issued 394 certificates of origin, with a visa amount of over 217 million yuan ($34.08 million).

From January to March, 1,736 sea-rail intermodal trains were operated in the new land-sea trade channel, a year-on-year increase of 31 percent, while the import and export cargo volume of Nanning airport to RCEP member countries was 6,475 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 358.67 percent. In addition, 682 China-Vietnam cross-border trains were operated, a year-on-year increase of 74.87 percent.

In the future, Guangxi will support the construction of the RCEP Nanning International Expo Center, enhance and solidify cross-border industrial chain clusters like "Greater Bay Area-Beibu Gulf Economic Zone-ASEAN" and "Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand-Guangxi-ASEAN," as well as promote the development of industries.
