A freight train loaded with Spring Festival goods, such as sugar from Pakistan and coconut milk from South China's Hainan province, left the Qinzhou Port East Station for Wangjiaying West Station in Kunming on Jan 15, marking the official launch of a new freight train route.

It marked the opening of the first new freight train route for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor from Guangxi this year and also the 112th rail-sea intermodal train route for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor from Qinzhou Port East Station.

The route passes through 14 provinces, 41 cities, and 91 stations, transporting more than 600 types of goods. It covers 311 ports in 106 countries on six different continents, forming a complete loop in the Belt and Road Initiative.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, fruit, wine, and other New Year goods from countries and regions along the Belt and Road will continue to enter the Chinese market through the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

Railway authorities in Guangxi vow to fully support the transportation services to facilitate the entry of more specialty goods from ASEAN countries and Europe into China.
