The Commerce Department of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Guangxi FTZ) released the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for its ports' opening and development.

Guangxi FTZ will focus on the construction of safe, efficient, intelligent, rule of law, and green ports and promote the coordinated development of water, land, and air, so as to form a new competitive advantage for ASEAN-oriented openness and cooperation.

By 2025, the Guangxi FTZ will reach 266-million-metric-ton annual import and export freight volume, 1-million-TEUs foreign trade container throughput, and an annual entry and exit of 3.54 million personnel and 2.73 million vehicles.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guangxi FTZ will focus on developing its shipping ports and strengthening both domestic and international port cooperation, especially with other RCEP member countries in ASEAN. It will continue to optimize the port business environment, improve the ports' efficiency, and reduce costs.
