On Dec 10, a company in Guangxi brought in three small agricultural cutting machines from Vietnam to be repaired after passing the inspection of the Youyiguan Customs, and then entered the Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone for maintenance. This is the first bonded maintenance business in the Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

The bonded maintenance mode of the comprehensive bonded area refers to the mode in which the company gets in damaged goods from other places for maintenance and then sends them back to their source.

With the launch of its first bonded maintenance business, the Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone reflects upon the policy advantages and the innovative advantages of the Chongzuo area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

It provides maintenance services for construction and agricultural machinery, communication equipment, and precision electronics. It also integrates into the cross-border industrial chain and promotes its transformation and development.

"In the Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the customs' approval procedures are simple and bonded. The maintenance period can be arranged independently without deposit, which reduces the operation and time costs of the enterprise," a Guangxi company's leader said.

In the first 11 months of this year, the port import and export volume of Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone was 311.46 billion yuan ($48.90 billion), a year-on-year increase of 45.57 percent. It is the only key zone in Guangxi whose trade volume has exceeded 100 billion yuan for seven consecutive years.
