Huayi's first tower, the propane dehydrogenation unit propylene propane separation tower, was completed on Nov 25 in Qinzhou.

The tower, which is an integral component of the Guangxi Huayi new material propane dehydrogenation unit, has an inner diameter of 10.6 meters, outer diameter of 12.94 m, height of 113.7 m, pre-installation net weight of 1,545 metric tons, and post-installation net weight of 1,774 tons, making it the largest and heaviest propylene-propane separation tower in China.

Liu Bo, the chief onsite coordinator said, “The height and weight of the hoisting have reached the operating limit of a 4,000-ton crawler crane. We set up a technical team to jointly develop a foundation bearing capacity test system with Tsinghua University to ensure everything goes smoothly.”
