The China-ASEAN Geographic Information and Satellite Application Industrial Park

General introduction and development orientation:

The industrial park covers an area of 2,000 mu (133.3 hectares). Phase I of the park includes three sections. It covers an area of 79 mu and has a floor area of 223,000 square meters, including 5,924 sq m of commercial land and an underground area of 65,000 sq m. It plans to receive an investment of 1.55 billion yuan ($240 million) and its construction period is set at 42 months.

As a major project among the core projects of the overall plan for the China-ASEAN Information Harbor, the park is expected to further promote the development of the local geographic information and satellite application industry, as well as build up an industrial ecosystem.

The project initially intends to create a geographical information and satellite application industrial park based in Guangxi, targeting ASEAN countries and benefiting southwest and central-south China by 2024. It will also include an ASEAN headquarter base, as well as an industrial research, development and transformation base with a collective annual output value surpassing 10 billion yuan.

The project plans to aggregate a batch of small and medium-sized innovative enterprises with strong international competitiveness, and to deliver promising development opportunities to build the industry into a new source of economic growth in Nanning and Guangxi.

Latest progress:

1. Phase I of the park has been granted the state-owned land use certificate, the land use permit, the building permit, the construction permit and the presale license of commodity housing.

2. Building 1 has been installed with glass curtain walls and was put into service in 2020. Building 2 has completed the construction of its eighth floor and will be put into service by the end of 2021. The construction of Building 3 was completed at the end of 2020. Building 4, Building 5 and Building 6 have been installed with exterior walls and were also put into service at the end of 2020.

3. Investment promotion has been conducted in Guangxi during the construction period. Ten institutes subordinate to the Department of Natural Resources of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have settled in Building 1. As of Dec 31, 2019, 46 enterprises have announced intentions to set up branches in the industrial park.

The China-ASEAN Information Harbor Nanning (Wuxiang) Sino-Ocean Big Data Industrial Park

General introduction and development orientation:

The industrial park covers an area of 126 mu (8.4 hectares). It aims to meet the international standard of Uptime T3+ as well as the A- level national standard of GB50174-2017.

The park will include four big data rooms (equipped with 13,000 racks), an energy center, a surveillance center, a project exhibition center and rooms for supporting facilities.

Based on the industrial strengths in the fields of health, big data, logistics, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, new energy and tourism-oriented healthcare in the China-ASEAN Information Harbor, the park will focus on the construction of geospatial frameworks.

It aims to provide digital infrastructure services in data storage, cloud computing and digital transactions for the local government, governmental institutes, financial organizations, telecommunication operators and authorities of education, science, culture and health. The project aims to contribute to the integrated development of the internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy.

The park will build itself into the largest third-party big data industrial area with cutting-edge technology, maximum safety and the best energy efficiency. It will drive upstream and downstream enterprises from relevant industries to settle down in the area.

The project will also further foster new sources of growth, and produce an information industry cluster demonstration area that can be replicated and promoted in other regions.

Introduction orientation: New-generation information technology

Location: Crossroad of Jinliang Street and Haihui Street in the Wuxiang New Area of Nanning

Planned investment: 2.5 billion yuan($387 million) / 1.6 billion yuan through investment promotion

Latest progress: The park has received official government approval of its project plan, general layout plan and monomer construction plan. It has also obtained the project planning permit, the construction permit and the environmental impact registration.

Conservative estimates suggest that the project will generate a total output value of 24 billion yuan through driving the industrial development of upstream and downstream enterprises. It will create thousands of job opportunities and promote Guangxi to build itself into a digital-economic powerhouse.

The Cloud Computing Center in Wuxiang Cloud Valley

General introduction and development orientation:

The center has an area of four hectares and a floor space of 149,900 square meters, which includes a capacity area of 19,900 sq m, and 50,800 sq m for two data centers. After its completion, the project will be able to provide around 6,000 cloud computer centers offering data center rack services.

The park will be divided into the three sections: the area for self-operated property management, the area for supporting facilities, and the area for production (data rooms and power center included). Eleven production and supporting buildings will also be built in the center.

Introduction orientation: Cloud computing, big data, electronic information, e-commerce, innovative science and technology, the internet, computers, artificial intelligence and cross-border e-commerce

Location: To the south of Huawei Street and to the east of Haihui Street in Liangqing district, Nanning

Planned investment: 1.1 billion yuan($ 170 million)

Investment model: Joint venture

Latest progress: The center has received the real estate registration certificate, the certificate for recording the project investment, the construction land use permit, the planning permit of construction engineering (the general layout plan and the monomer construction plan have been approved), the decision on earthquake fortification as well as the filing of water and soil conservation scheme. Its civil air defense design (remote construction) and environment impact assessment report have also been approved by the government. The site exploration and construction designs have been completed. The project started construction in June 2020.
