Lin Yi TCM Master Studio established in Guilin

The Lin Yi Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Master Studio was established at the Guilin Municipal Hospital of TCM in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Nov 22.

Renowned TCM master Lin Yi, who began her career at the Guilin Municipal Hospital of TCM in the 1960s and later worked at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, in 1997, has exemplified the deep collaboration between Guangxi and Guangdong in TCM development for many years.

She has long been engaged in the teaching and research of breast disease in TCM. The studio's establishment marks a new phase of cooperation between the two regions.

At the launch ceremony, Lin expressed her commitment to sharing her TCM expertise to help young physicians advance innovation in the treatment of breast diseases, aiming for higher development levels.

Zhang Zhongde, vice-president of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and president of the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM, highlighted that the studio's establishment serves as a new starting point for Guangxi-Guangdong cooperation. He expressed an expectation that higher-level collaboration in talent cultivation, discipline development, and research will produce win-win results, promoting TCM globally.

Long Xinghua, vice-mayor of Guilin, emphasized the city's efforts to become a world-class tourist destination and expressed a desire to implement the "Guilin's Renowned Doctors Project" with Guangdong's help, strengthening TCM as a defining feature of Guilin.

Pan Shuang, deputy director of the TCM Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, noted the significant achievements resulting from the collaboration between the two regions, hoping to deepen cooperation in talent development and research innovation and better contribute to the national healthcare landscape.
