Guilin luohanguo, also known as monk fruit, is grown in mid-mountain, low mountain, hill, and nearby plain areas.

The soil composition predominantly consists of acidic red soil, yellow soil, or black soil formed from sandstone, shale, and granite, and is rich in humus.

Guilin is located within a subtropical monsoon climate zone characterized by mild temperatures, abundant rainfall, a long frost-free period, ample sunlight, plentiful heat, short winters, and distinct seasons with rain and heat occurring simultaneously.

With a high forest coverage rate, Guilin offers ideal ecological conditions essential for the growth of high-quality luohanguo.

The dried fruit is oval or nearly round, with a yellow-green to yellow-brown skin, light and brittle body, and spongy, yellowish-white to yellow-brown pulp.
