The 'BETWEEN' exhibition, part of the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, is set to debut in China at the Guilin Art Museum from Oct 26 to Nov 3, 2024. The exhibition will present classic Chinese stage design works, echoing the legacy of the 1944 Southwest Drama Exhibition, which showcased the evolution of Chinese drama.
Curated by renowned stage designer Liu Xinglin, the exhibition explores the dynamic relationship between performance design and the ever-changing world. Through a combination of stage design documents, interactive video installations, and audience participation, the exhibition examines the nature of change and constancy.
Visitors are invited to engage with each design both physically and digitally, offering a creative exploration of visual storytelling and performance. This groundbreaking exhibition is free to the public, with no reservations required.
