Longyinju, a four-act play in the Guilin dialect, is set during the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, depicting the intertwined fates of people living in an old house in Guilin during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

The drama includes several elements of Guilin culture, such as Guiju Opera and local dishes like rice noodles, making it a beloved production.

The title references Longyin Rock and symbolizes the dragon spirit, representing the resilience that allowed Guilin to shine during the difficult years of war.
