The 2024 Guilin Festival is set to host domestic and international invited plays, featuring 18 productions from six countries in various unique venues, showcasing the harmony between people and nature.
In tribute to the Southwest Drama Exhibition, the festival is set to present the inaugural Ouyang Yuqian Awards, commemorating his outstanding achievements in theater. Additionally, an 80th-anniversary video exhibition is expected to project historical visuals above the Lijiang River, celebrating the exhibition's legacy.
The festival will also set lectures featuring influential artists discussing theater's impact on society. Drama education programs are poised to engage children and families through theatrical experiences, enhancing communication and artistic expression. All of these programs and activities are expected to strengthen the cultural richness and artistic vibrancy of Guilin.
