The 2023 China-ASEAN Silk Road E-commerce Forum opened in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Sept 16.
The China-ASEAN e-commerce cooperation development index was released during the ongoing event for the first time - showcasing the level of cooperation and development prospects between the two sides.
A digital channel cross-border and e-commerce service center was launched, providing one-stop solutions for enterprises in the Mid-East of the country.
In addition, the China-ASEAN Digital Economy Industrial Park E-commerce Exchange Center was set up to promote digital e-commerce talent and cooperation exchanges.
A cross-border e-commerce intelligent service platform also went online during the event - aiming to help more enterprises to transform and improve their cross-border trade.
What's more, the Guangxi region's commerce department signed a number of agreements with the Taotian Group, Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Local Services Group, Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group and Cainiao Group. These were to undertake wide-ranging cooperation in brand ecosystem prosperity, business digital construction and digital life services.
In addition, six projects were signed, including a contract to establish an RCEP Digital Trade and Cross-border E-commerce Live Broadcasting Headquarters Base. A smart retail strategic cooperation project was also signed, as well as a contract for ASEAN Cross-border e-commerce cooperation, further solidifying the region's supply chain.
The forum also organized various e-commerce activities to promote the sale of ASEAN products in the Chinese and overseas markets.
