Guilin Guibei Machinery Co., Ltd is a national key enterprise for producing surface grinders and Guangxi’s only manufacturing enterprise that can produce above level 4 precision machine tools with domestic market share exceeding 30 percent.
With the guidance of the enterprise’s leading body, the enterprise has formed a series of advanced management processes including lean production mode, quality management, project management, ERP, OA, PLM and MES.
The enterprise is the Guilin sub center of the National Engineering Research Center for High Efficiency Grinding, owning scientific research platforms such as Guangxi engineering research Center for precision grinding and enterprise technology centers of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In 2022, the enterprise was approved as the "little giant" firm by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In recent years, the enterprise has laid a solid foundation for the industrialization of products by reasonably adjusting product structure and carrying out independent innovation. Every year, dozens of new products are successfully developed and sold in the market with the output rate of new products reaching about 30 percent. Most of the enterprise’s technologies and products are independent developed or produced by industry-university-research cooperation. The introduction of foreign advanced technologies is a complementary. Most of products and technologies reach domestic advanced level and part of products are domestic originality. The enterprise has been putting high investment in research and development and innovation. The annual expenditure on research and development is more than 5 percent of the annual sales, which is mainly used in strengthening market-orientated research and development, promotion and the application of high-tech technologies and appropriate technologies in order to make the enterprise’s technological achievements rapidly transform to competitive products and get breakthroughs in new economic growth point. The enterprise actively incubates brand products and famous trademarks as well as increases the number of applications and grants of national patents, especially invention patents. The proportion of output value and sales revenue of products with core patented technology has increased significantly. In 2022, the enterprise has achieved 210 million yuan of industrial output value, 160 million yuan of sales revenue and 8.1 million yuan of profits and taxes.
In order to enhance the research and development capability, the enterprise set up the technology innovation cooperation mechanism combining industry, university and research. It established long-term technological strategic partnership with Tsinghua University and Guangxi University; it co-founded the Guilin sub center of the National Engineering Research Center for High Efficiency Grinding with Hunan University; it carried out extensive technological cooperation with the Guilin University of Electronic Technology, the Guangxi Normal University, the Guilin University of Aerospace Technology and the Guilin institute of automation technology. The enterprise has achieved breakthrough innovations in technologies and products.
