Orchards are dotted with plump, golden fruits hanging heavily on branches as local farmers shuttle between the trees, busy with picking, sorting and packing.

This year marks a bumper harvest for Tonggong Village's sugar oranges, with an estimated total output reaching 125,000 kilograms. The fruits stand out for their regular shape, bright luster and sweet, juicy flesh, winning wide recognition in the market for their superior quality.

After strict standardized procedures including careful sorting, cleaning and packaging, the fresh oranges have embarked on an export journey to Vietnam.

They have successfully entered major supermarkets and stores there, becoming a popular seasonal choice among local consumers.

In recent years, Nandan county has prioritized the development of characteristic fruit industries.

By optimizing fruit varieties, promoting scientific planting techniques and building efficient production-sales connection platforms, it has steadily improved the quality and reputation of Tonggong sugar oranges.

This small yet valuable fruit has become a catalyst for prosperity – raising farmers' incomes, revitalizing rural areas, and energizing Hechi's rural economic development.

It stands as a vivid example of Hechi's success in utilizing characteristic agriculture to empower rural prosperity.
