Hechi, GBA deepen ties via wellness tour

A delegation from the Greater Bay Area Cultural Tourism Association, major travel agencies, and media outlets visited Hechi from Nov 19 to 22.

The group delved into the city's rich and varied tourism offerings – uncovering Bama's well-kept longevity secrets, marveling at Fengshan's karst landscapes, immersing themselves in the unique Baiku Yao culture of Nandan county, and soaking up the Liu Sanjie folk songs of Yizhou.

Since Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation began, Hechi and Shenzhen have shifted from industrial assistance to tourism integration: building a wellness model around the Bama's international longevity hometown and health tourism destination, developing intangible cultural heritage icons like bronze drum and Liu Sanjie cultures from Hechi's national-level bronze drum eco-reserve, and aligning Hechi's ecological and cultural appeal with the demands of the GBA.

During the trip, Hechi hosted a symposium. Travel operators' suggestions on route planning, marketing, market alignment, and cooperation mechanisms were discussed to broaden the path for "bringing visitors to Hechi."

It will continue developing ecological wellness and intangible cultural heritage, creating more distinctive tourism routes.

Deepening cooperation with Shenzhen, it will advance "bringing visitors to Hechi", showcasing its agricultural and cultural tourism resources, converting resource advantages into economic benefits, boosting rural vitalization, and elevating Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation from one-way assistance to mutual tourism exchange and integrated brand development.
