23rd Hechi Bronze Drum Folk Song Festival sees grand finale

The 23rd Hechi Bronze Drum Folk Song Art Festival concluded with a closing ceremony and awards gala on the evening of Nov 16 at Hechi's sports center.

Over the course of three days, the festival featured a series of events including an opening ceremony, public cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, folk song competitions, and calligraphy and photography exhibitions. It brought together 26 cultural performances, 16 intangible cultural heritage items, 94 folk singers, and 130 calligraphy and photography work from four provinces, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Hunan, and Yunnan, along with 13 delegations from Hechi.

During the closing ceremony, awards were presented for first-place winners in the public performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, and folk song competitions, as well as recognition for outstanding organizing units. The festival flag was handed over to Yizhou district, host of the next edition, which presented a traditional cultural showcase titled "this is Yizhou" and extended an invitation to the city's residents.
