Hechi hosts overseas media tour

The 2025 Overseas Media Hechi Tour commenced on the 14th in Dahua Yao autonomous county, Hechi, Guangxi.

Media representatives from 21 outlets across 15 countries and regions, including Thailand and Cambodia, embarked on a boat journey along the Hongshui River to admire its scenic views, experience Yao ethnic culture, and witness the transformation of Guangxi's mountainous regions.

Gongchuan village in Dahua, once known as a "hollowed-out village", has been revitalized through tourism investment. The construction of homestays and water sports parks has turned it into a new getaway for nearby tourists, allowing local villagers to operate rural tourism businesses and increase their incomes.

The tour will also visit Yizhou district and Luocheng Mulam autonomous county to explore stories of intangible cultural heritage preservation and how cultural tourism is driving county-level economic development in ethnic regions.
