Thousand runners race through Mulam's scenic landscapes

The 2025 Luocheng Half Marathon kicked off in Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, Hechi city, attracting over 1,000 runners to compete amid the county's beautiful natural and cultural landscapes.

The event highlighted Luocheng's unique Mulam ethnic culture and ecological beauty, blending sports passion with scenic appeal.

Runners of all ages and backgrounds – including amateur enthusiasts, professional athletes, and foreign participants – gathered to take on the course.

Designed to showcase Luocheng's features, the route crisscrossed through verdant mountains, pristine rivers, and traditional Mulam villages, giving competitors the chance to enjoy the peaceful scenery and local customs while challenging themselves.

Local organizers stated that the marathon aimed to promote fitness among residents and boost Luocheng's tourism and cultural influence.

Supporting facilities were fully set up, including water stations, medical aid points, and volunteer services along the route to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all runners.

Cultural performances with Mulam folk music and dances were held at the start and finish lines, creating a festive atmosphere.

A runner from Guizhou praised the event, saying, "The course is breathtaking, and the local people are very friendly. It's more than just a race; it's a delightful experience of nature and culture." Foreign participants also shared their admiration for Luocheng's untouched landscapes and unique ethnic traditions.
