Hechi silver economy is booming

As peak season for wellness travel and residency in Bama begins, its silver economy is showing strong growth.

By raising service standards, upgrading infrastructure, and launching special projects such as "wellness travel and residency", "winter in Guangxi", "longevity and wellness tours", and "farm product picking", the area has strengthened the growth of associated industries like dining, lodging, and agricultural product sales.

During the Double Ninth Festival gala in Bama, seasonal residents from across the country gathered on the green mountains and clear waters. They sang and danced, celebrating the festival together with warmth.

On the morning of Oct 29, the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, Narada Resort & Spa Cifu Lake hosted activities honoring the elderly, which included a traditional water-fetching ceremony and prayers for blessings.

Tian Jianpeng, general manager of the hotel, said, "Since the ninth lunar month, Bama has entered its peak tourist season, and the hotel's occupancy rate has steadily increased from about 60 percent to nearly 80 percent."
