Hechi showcases high-quality development

Donglan county in northwestern Guangxi highlights a distinctive mix of cultural and natural treasures. Visitors can explore its ancient bronze drum heritage, delve into its revolutionary history, enjoy its untouched natural scenery, discover its longevity culture, and sample local ecological products.

Donglan, imbued with revolutionary spirit, is the birthplace of the Guangxi Peasant Movement and the heartland of the Youjiang revolutionary base.

With a forest coverage of 75.78 percent, it is a "natural oxygen bar".

It preserves 612 heritage bronze drums, which makes up about a quarter of the world's total, earning it the nickname "hometown of world bronze drums."

It has been awarded the title "China's longevity township". The secret to its long life is not only its remarkable natural environment but also its community's respect for the elderly.

Chestnuts, black-skinned pigs, black-boned chickens, black rice, and dark-feathered ducks are considered longevity foods. Among these, Donglan's black rice holds the status of a national geographical indication agricultural product.
