Hechi hosts water carnival in Huanjiang

The 2025 Guangxi Huanjiang Water Carnival was launched on Oct 25 at the Jiangbin Sports Park in Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Hechi city.

The event featured a diverse array of water activities, including open-water swimming, paddleboard competitions and performances, and kayak races. Six categories of competition were set up: men's 400-meter paddleboard, men's 1000-meter paddleboard, women's 300-meter paddleboard, women's 800-meter paddleboard, mixed 400-meter kayak, and mixed 1,000-meter kayak, attracting over 90 athletes.

As night fell, the Maonan leisure and food zone became a new highlight. The air was filled with the inviting aroma of local delicacies, while dance, solo singing, and instrumental performances took turns on the stage. The unique Maonan ethnic culture and modern art created distinctive sparks, not only providing citizens and visitors with a cultural and tourism feast that combined competition, leisure, food, and culture but also demonstrating the fruitful achievements of Huanjiang's integrated development of culture, sports, and tourism.
